ASSINIBOIA -- Seven candidates are seeking election as MP for Cypress-Hills Grassland, as confirmed by Elections Canada on September 1.
Candidates’ nominations forms for the 2021 federal election closed on August 30.
In order to the list on Elections Canada:
- Mackenzie Hird, Liberal Party;
- Charles Hislop, People’s Party,
- Maria Rose Lewans, Independent;
- Alex McPhee, New Democratic Party;
- Jeremy Patzer (incumbent), Conservative Party;
- Mark Skagen, Maverick Party;
- Carol Vandale, Green Party.
Advance polls for the federal election will be held Friday, Sept. 10; Saturday, Sept. 11; Sunday, Sept. 12; and Monday, Sept. 13. All advance polls are open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Voters who want to apply to vote by mail must register before Tuesday, Sept. 14.
Election day will be Monday, Sept. 20.
