CANORA - In preparation for provincials on July 26-28 in Estevan, the 13U Canora Reds hosted a baseball tournament that also included teams from Kamsack and Yorkton.
“Our boys lost both of their games but played hard,” said Jennifer Matychuk, Canora manager. “The Yorkton Team was a AA Tier 2 Team and we are a AA Tier 5, so overall our guys held their own.”
The main sponsor for the tournament was Rice Construction.
“Thanks to Grandma Weinbender and her siblings for their generous donation towards covering a big portion of the team’s jerseys and hats,” said Matychuk, “and to the town of Canora for assisting us with the barbecue fundraiser during Canora in Bloom.”
