INVERMAY - The Invermay Golden Age Club held an informative and timely session regarding Fraud Prevention.
Mike Kaminski, Golden Age Club chairperson welcomed Jacquie Tomblin, Parkland Victim Services assistant co-ordinator, on Feb. 19. Tomblin, along with RCMP constable Bates, outlined how they work together to ensure victims of crime have access to information about fraudulent activities, and how to recognize scam activity and prevent being exploited by individuals who look to take advantage of them.
“The presentation was very interesting, engaging and informative,” said Kaminski. “Participants shared experiences and asked many related questions.”
After the presentation all those in attendance enjoyed socializing over coffee and snacks.
