Outlook Park Reveals Free Summer Programming

July, August lineups offer Saturday family outings

Looking for something to do on the weekends over the next couple of months?

The Outlook Regional Park has unveiled a schedule of free, family-friendly programming taking place this summer if you’re looking for something to do on Saturday afternoons.

Throughout July and August, there will be a weekly presentation and/or exhibit every Saturday at 1:00 pm, taking place in the performance bowl of the park (behind the old swimming pool).  If you’re planning on attending, you may want to bring a chair or a blanket to sit on.  Visitors are reminded that any vehicles entering the park require a park pass.

The schedule of events is as follows:

July 13:  Owls on Tour – Meet the ambassador Burrowing Owl and learn about their conservation

July 20:  Saskatoon Nature Society and the Last Mountain Lake National Wildlife Area and Migratory Bird Sanctuary – Bird Watching 101 and the Mobile Museum

July 27:  Meewasin Valley Authority – Meet Giga the Salamander and learn about endangered species

August 3:  Local Presenter Oliver Johnson – Arrowhead and artifact collection found in Saskatchewan
