YORKTON - So you’ve been thinking about being a director for the local Chamber of Commerce, well now’s the time to take the plunge.
For those interested they can attend the December board meeting as an observer, then a Director Training Workshop in January to gain insights into the role.
The board holds regular monthly meetings the third Wednesday of each month at 7 a.m.
Overall the commitment is estimated at 16-30 hours annually.
The benefits include networking with the business community, assisting the business community grow, awareness of what’s happening in the city, an opportunity to meet with elected officials – Council, MLA and MP, and gain board member experience.
Nominations open Oct. 16 and close at noon Oct. 31.
