Human trafficking suspects have appearances in Saskatoon court

Four men were charged following an 18-month investigation by RCMP into human trafficking

SASKATOON – The case against three men charged in a human trafficking and organized crime sting has been adjourned to next year.

Bechir Ben Salah, 33, Mali Jean, 34, and Kenny Jouthe, 32, are scheduled to have case management in Saskatoon Provincial Court March 24, 2023.

All three are charged with participating in the activities of a criminal organization, trafficking persons, material benefit from trafficking persons, and withholding or destroying identity documents.

A fourth accused, 32-year-old Billy Glenold-Fleury hasn’t been apprehended.

The four were charged following an 18-month investigation by Sask. RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime into human trafficking. RCMP believe there may be other victims who weren’t identified during their investigation and urge them to come forward if they require any assistance.

Salah was arrested in Laval, QC, Jean was arrested in Burnaby, BC, and Jouthe turned himself in Saskatoon.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Glenold-Fleury is asked to contact their local police service, RCMP Detachment or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477. Police say Glenold-Fleury has ties to Saskatchewan, Quebec, Alberta, and B.C.
