On August 27, a supper and wedding dance was celebrated for Erik and Jaycee Genoway. Erik Genoway is the son of Roger and Nancy Genoway and the grandson of Elsie Genoway.
           Residents of the Invermay Health Centre and Gateway Lodge enjoyed the music of Eugene Tretiak of Rama and Ross Baldwin of Yorkton. Tretiak and Baldwin sang and entertained with a variety of country music selections. They then travelled to play and sing for the residents and staff at the Preeceville and District Health Centre.
           The Performing Arts and Leisure Society (PALS) held a Friday night get-together on September 2 and hosted many local entertainers. Dennis Winkelman was the winner of a 50/50 draw and Crista Swiderski won a free coffee. PALS representatives stated that everyone is welcome to drop by during the events.
           Bingo at the Rama Golden Jets started for the fall and winter season on September 4. Bingo players enjoyed a lunch provided by Helen Fullowka.
           Visiting Lorraine Kaminski was her son-in-law Irvin Kutney and her grandson Spencer Kutney of Calgary.
           Rama elementary and high school students returned to class on September 1. Parents can be a little nervous about the first day of school if they are seeing little children off for the first time or if their children are attending new schools. The safety of our children is a top priority for all of us.
           The Canadian Television (CTV) Hometown Tour has chosen Rama as the next stop. Come to Rama today (September 14) to show support and love for the town.
           Rama Co-op will be hosting a community barbecue. All proceeds will go towards upgrades for the Rama Park. Who knows? You may just be on CTV.
