Manitoba hits fifth straight day without new COVID-19 cases

Another day has come and gone with no new cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba - the fifth day in a row with no further positive tests for the disease province-wide.

Another day has come and gone with no new cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba - the fifth day in a row with no further positive tests for the disease province-wide.

Another 641 tests were done and tested May 9, with not one showing a positive result for COVID-19. No new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Manitoba since June 5, when two new cases of the disease were reported.

No new recoveries from the disease were reported Wednesday, leaving the province with eight active cases of COVID-10 province-wide. No Manitobans are currently in hospital with the disease.

No positive tests have been reported in northern Manitoba since April 8. Only three positive tests total have been reported from within the Northern Health Region (NHR) since the beginning of the pandemic. Three hundred total cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Manitoba during the outbreak, with most cases - 213, to be exact - found in Winnipeg.
