Rural Municipality of Preeceville voters cast ballots for change

PREECEVILLE - Ratepayers in the Rural Municipality of Preeceville spoke loudly through casting their ballots for the reeve and two councillors who were seeking-re-election, results remained the same with the same reeve and councillors re-elected. Election date was Nov. 13 and held at the RM of Preeceville administrative office. There were 403 ballots cast and 97 ballots were cast in the advance polls.

In the reeve position, Johnny Petryshyn was re-elected with 272 votes and Corwin Tonn received 130 votes.

In the council positions, Cory Paul was declared elected by acclamation. Wayne Mastrachuk received 63 votes over Tulsa Weimer who received 19 votes in Division 3 and Reg Yaremchuk was re-elected with 40 votes over his opponent Merle Mastrachuk who received 20 votes, as posted by Lisa Peterson, administrator.
