STURGIS - This fall, Sturgis Composite School had students ranging from Grades 2-10 participating in cross-country running, stated Carla Olson, coach.
Daily practices were held at lunch most days, as students trained and built up their stamina so they were ready to participate in meets and/or improved their personal fitness levels. Students in Grade 3 and older had the opportunity to attend three meets: Deer Park (Yorkton), Saltcoats Autumn Summit, and the District meet, which was held at Carlton Trail near Langenburg. “All of the participants showed great progress throughout the season and many enjoyed setting personal goals for themselves to achieve. Congratulations to Trae Peterson, who qualified for Provincials and had a great run at that event,” said Olson
