YORKTON - The Yorkton Terriers are into their final weekend of the SJHL regular season with a home-and-home set with Highway 10 rival Melville.
The set started Friday in Melville where the Millionaires jumped to a 3-0 lead after 20-minutes. Goals game from Jadon Iyogun at 2:08, Caden Drury at 10:08, and Bradley Banach at 12:03.
The Terriers got back into the contest in the second frame.
Alden Knutson scored at 3:05, and Anthony Domina added one on the powerplay at 9:30 to make it a 3-2 contest.
Drury extended the Melville lead to 4-2 with a goal at 19:51.
Eight seconds later Tate Schofer scored for Yorkton and it was 4-3 through 40-minutes of play.
In the third it was again the Mills that shone.
Luc Bydal scored an unassisted effort at 6:56 and Drury completed his hat trick on the night with a man-advantage effort at 7:49 to round out a 6-3 win for Melville.
Ethan Kelly took the loss on 30 shots in the Terrier net, while William Dyke earned the win in the Millionaires net facing 27-shots.
The teams meet in Yorkton tonight (Saturday).
