The Pockets Yorkton Regional High School Female Athlete of the Month for April is Brandey Blahut.She is currently a Gr. 9 student at YRHS.Blahut was a participant on the YRHS cross country, soccer, and senior girls basketball teams. In addition, she participated on the Gr. 9 volleyball, and junior curling and badminton teams.She is looking forward to the upcoming track season as well as the many other opportunities she hopes to have in her next three years at school.She also plays in Jazz 1, concert and Chicago bands while maintaining a 90+ average. Outside of school, she is into soccer and piano. She has played soccer with Yorkton United F.C. Soccer Club and helped coach the U8 soccer team.
The Pockets YRHS Male Athlete of the Month for April is Justin Schneider. Justin is a Gr. 11 student who maintains a B average and enjoys playing all sports. He has played football and badminton for the school since Gr. 9 and is looking forward to provincial team tryouts for football and the upcoming season. Outside of school he plays football for the Rhein Rockets.
