It’s almost time for the Outlook River Hawks to batter up for another year and for the public to bring the lawn chairs and mosquito spray out of storage, as another season of senior men’s baseball is just around the corner.
The team was formed just last year, bringing a men’s senior ball team back to Outlook for the first time in nearly 30 years.
For their sophomoric season, the River Hawks and the rest of the teams in the Fertile Valley Baseball League are joined by two new rosters, both from Kindersley; a second Midget Royals team, and the Marlins.
As well, the league has been split into two tiers, an ‘A’ Division and a ‘B’ Division.
