Wednesday the Terriers squared off with Melfort taking a 2-0 lead through 20-minutes on goals by Jye Zawatsky and Tylan Henrikson.
The Mustangs responded by knotting the game with two second period goals by Logan Belton and Mathieu Pigeon.
The Terriers pulled away with a trio of unanswered third period goals by Brett Butz, Jeff Hammond and Jaron Desnoyers into an empty net.
James Venne took the loss in the Melfort net facing 37-shots.
Ethan Farrow was in net for the Terriers facing 31-shots in the win.
Farrow was back in net to face Nipawin Thursday, this time facing 37-shots for his fourth straight win since joining the Terriers.
The teams split two first period goals, Clay Sleeva starting things for the Terriers, and Chase Visser tieing the contest.
The Hawks inched ahead on the only goal of the second period, a marker by Eric Hoiness.
Fifty-three seconds into the third period Jeff Hammond tied the game 2-2.
Harrison Aldridge inched Yorkton ahead with a goal at 1:34.
Evan Forrest responded to tie the game 3-3.
Goals by Anthony McIntosh and Dylan Ruptash gave the Terriers a 5-3 edge.
With seven seconds left Braeden Jockims scored to pull Nipawin within one for a 5-4 Yorkton win.
Tyson Endall took the loss facing 41-shots.
The two wins raise the Terrier record to 8-10-1-1 and 18 points, two back of Melville, Estevan and Weyburn, all with 20-points.
