Greg Dutchak of Rama, who was nine years old, considered himself a life-long fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders so when he had the opportunity to meet Kerry Joseph, the Riders鈥� new quarterback, at a publicity event in Yorkton, he was there and even got a picture taken with Joseph.
The Canora Supers re-organized for another season in the South Eastern Senior Baseball League. A 12-game schedule was prepared for the seven teams in the league.
Darren Kozak, a former Canora resident, graduated from the Solicitor General Staff College in Edmonton. He was employed as a sheriff in the security operations department for the Alberta government.
While visiting Doukhobors in the Canora, Veregin and Kamsack areas, Alexi Oslopov, a Russian Doukhobor living in Toronto, said he was enjoying the tour while waiting for the paperwork to determine his immigrant status.
