ELBOW - As the weather transitions into a spring-like environment, the chances for a fire to break out increase as outdoor conditions begin to dry up.
The Elbow Fire Department found themselves at the scene of a blaze early on Friday morning, April 22. A residence on King Street was found to have a fire that broke out in the garage. Crews were on-site at 6:10 am, battling the flames before they could spread and managing to keep things largely contained to the garage structure. The fire also inflicted major damage to a truck.
The home on the property was spared from any major damage due to the fire.
It's unknown at this time what the cause of the fire was. Crews had put out the flames and had returned to the fire hall by approximately 8:15 am.
