OUTLOOK - A vehicle collision this morning that occurred just east of the village of Broderick saw one person lose their life, according to Outlook RCMP.
On Thursday morning, September 19 at approximately 10:15 a.m., the RCMP as well as emergency first responders were called to the scene on Highway 15, where a serious head-on collision had taken place. Traffic was rerouted in both east and west directions as the seriousness of the crash was being realized by those who were present.
Sgt. Mark Langager shared with this reporter that as a result of the collision, there is one deceased female while three other people were injured and transported to hospital to be treated for their injuries.
UPDATE - September 20th
The investigation into the incident determined that a truck and SUV had collided. A passenger in the SUV was transported to hospital and later declared deceased. She has been identified as a 69-year-old female from Outlook. Her family has been notified.
The adult male driver of the SUV was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious in nature. Finally, the male youth passenger in the SUV was transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
The adult male driver of the truck was transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
The Outlook RCMP continue to investigate the scene of the collision with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
