OUTLOOK - An Outlook curling team swept their way all the way to provincials this past weekend, gaining valuable experience from the weekend event and doing their community proud.
The senior boys team of Davin Ivan, Brant Ivan, Aiden Kratchmer and Alex Calvin, under the tutelage of Bill Ivan and Kirk Pederson, ventured to Wynyard over March 7 & 8 to compete in the provincial curling championships.
In the team's first game on Friday, they lost out to the reigning provincial champions from Balgonie at a score of 14-0. That same day, the Blues took on North Battleford and ventured much better, defeating them at a score of 12-6. Later that day, the team found themselves squared up against Maidstone, eventually defeating them at a score of 12-3.

On Saturday, things didn't fare that well for the Outlook team as they lost out in games against Yorkton (7-3) and Avonlea (7-4). The latter loss meant missing out on a bronze medal, but the 4th Place finish for the Blues kept them in good spirits as they returned home, with many saying that the future looks good for these players in the years ahead.
