ELBOW - The newly-opened Harbor Golf Community Center in Elbow is already starting to turn heads.
The facility, which has largely wrapped up construction, saw a large turnout of people on Wednesday night, October 26 for a public walkthrough, and judging from the many smiles and looks of utter amazement, the project has seemed to greatly exceed expectations.
With multiple meeting rooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen, an exercise room with adjoining showers and change areas, as well as a large and sprawling gymnasium and stage, the vision of a new public venue in Elbow that serves the needs of people from near and far has been met.
The following day after the public walkthrough was Moving Day as everything from tables and chairs to equipment was hauled into the building in order to stock it, and organizers made sure to thank volunteers with a BBQ lunch, with food and treats provided by the Back Home Bakery, Elbow Foods, Elbow Hotel & the Jelly Bean.
