OUTLOOK - Most people just know it by the date and what it will feature, but now the event taking place in Outlook during the last weekend of May has a name.
The first annual Prairie Festival takes place over May 27-29 and is lining up to offer something for everyone of every age, taking place to raise funds for renovations to the Outlook & District Heritage Museum and the Bounty Hall.
The attractions begin on Friday, May 27 with an outdoor market scheduled from 8:30 am until 5:00 that day, and the food trucks begin offering many different culinary options for hungry patrons at 11:00, wrapping up at 7:00 on each night over the weekend. A hypnotist show at 7:00 concludes the Friday activities.
The following day, patrons can expect a Show n' Shine car show from 11:00 until 3:00, and a street dance featuring Outlook band Bad Influence kicks off at 7:00, going until the late night hour of 2:00 am.
Sunday is set to feature kids games from 11:00 to 4:00, a magic show at 3:00, and a kids bike show from 1:00 to 3:00.
Finally, a 50/50 draw will be made on Sunday at 5:00, with tickets being sold throughout the weekend and Riverbend Co-op guaranteeing a jackpot of $1000.
