OUTLOOK - A young baseball team from right here at home in the riverside community certainly has reason to celebrate this summer.
The Under-13 Outlook Riverhawks hosted a tournament over July 13 & 14, where they welcomed teams from Saskatoon, Rosetown, Humboldt, Biggar, as well as a combined Nipawin/Tisdale roster.
Over the course of the weekend, the games took place on Diamonds 1 & 2 and saw the Outlook squad capture victory after victory until ultimately, on late Sunday afternoon, they found themselves slotted in the tournament final against the Saskatoon Sandlot Cardinals.
An emotionally-charged game saw both teams give it their all, impressing parents on both sides of the equation, until Outlook was eventually the winning team in the end, concluding their home tournament with a perfect 6-0 record in victory.
Coached by Brent Larwood, Jordan Rolleston and Conrad Shepherd, the Under-13 Outlook Riverhawks are comprised of Connor Edgar, Stacen Larwood, Aidan Lee, Emery Solnicka, Michael Drury, Gavin Shepherd, Drew Rolleston, Cullen Stephenson, Matthew Calvin, Lauri Kamula, Mercer Thompson, and Liam King.
