YORKTON – Over the weekend, the York Lake ball diamonds were full of activity as the Annual Crush Fastball Tournament took place.
A total of 23 teams participated in the tournament, showcasing their skills in the U15, U17 and U19 divisions. Teams traveled from different parts of the province and even from Cross Lake, Manitoba, which is located 2 1/2 hours north of Thompson.
Throughout the three-day tournament, spectators were treated to impressive athletic displays and exciting ball games.
The winners of the tournament were as follows:
The U15 B Division winners - Saskatoon
The U15 C Division winners - Esterhazy Thunder
The U17/19 winners were - Regina
In recent years, Yorkton Crush Softball has experienced significant growth, with over 170 young women registered to play at various levels for the Crush.
Looking ahead, the U11 and U13 teams are eagerly preparing to host their own home tournament this coming weekend June 21-23.
