MELVILLE – Melville and area residents will benefit from enhanced access to team-based care through the merger of two primary health care clinics in the community, uniting the teams to deliver comprehensive care.
Beginning on Sept. 9, the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) will relocate clinic assistants, physicians, and nurse practitioner from the Queen Street location to the Melville Primary Health Care Clinic at 175 3rd Avenue East. Patients of the Queen Street clinic will visit the 3rd Avenue location for all appointments as of Sept. 9.
There will be no interruption to primary health services in Melville and the surrounding area during this transition. All patients of both clinics will continue to have access to care and be able to book appointments with their primary care providers. The only change for some patients will be the location of their visits.
Combining all staff and providers in the same building will enhance health-care for residents in Melville and the surrounding area by streamlining access to services. It will also enhance support for the entire primary care team in Melville, fostering greater collaboration and opportunities for mentorship among all providers.
