MELVILLE — The City of Melville will host hundreds of firefighters from across Saskatchewan this spring as they host the Saskatchewan Volunteer Firefighters Association Provincial Fire School.
The Spring Fire School will be held from May 9 to 11 and it provides volunteer firefighters from across the province with a variety of courses from beginner to advanced fire training and also includes seminars for things such as vehicle extraction and heavy rescue.
Various facilities throughout the city will be used for training, but the majority of the hands-on training will take place at Suncrest College’s fire training grounds east of the city.
The last time Melville hosted the provincial fire school was in 2021.
