Yorkton Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events

Events include the All Candidates Forum for the upcoming Federal Election featuring local candidates.

YORKTON – The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce has announced a series of events aimed at fostering community engagement and supporting local businesses.

The first event, Meet, Greet & Â鶹´«Ã½ Networking, will take place April 3 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Trades & Technology Centre. Organized in partnership with Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (WESK), the event will feature a panel discussion with local businesswomen Alicia Simoneau, Kaitlyn Kitzan and Nicole Campbell. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

April 22, residents will have the opportunity to attend an All Candidates Forum at the Anne Portnuff Theatre. The forum, scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., will allow attendees to meet candidates running in the upcoming Federal Election. Candidates will introduce themselves, answer prepared questions and take questions from the audience. Admission is free and open to all.

The Chamber’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled  for April 23 at the Owl’s Nest Restaurant. The evening will begin with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed by supper at 6 p.m. and a brief AGM. Mayor Aaron Kienle will then deliver his inaugural State of the City Address. Tickets are $40 and must be purchased in advance.
