PRINCE ALBERT, SASKATOON - With Voting Week now into its second day, the Saskatchewan Party and the New Democrats continued their efforts at a final push for votes.

For the second day in a row Scott Moe was in Prince Albert, a battleground area with both Prince Albert Northcote and Prince Albert Carlton in play.

Moe appeared with candidates from Prince Albert and area at a campaign event. In his speech he warned against a return to the “decline, loss and closure” of the NDP when they were last in power.

“You have an opportunity to choose between the NDP, and their record of decline, loss and closure,” said Moe. “Or you can choose a strong economy and a bright future with our party, the Saskatchewan Party.”

According to reports from the scene today, Moe did not take questions from reporters following his speech.

Meanwhile, New Democrat leader Carla Beck was in Saskatoon giving a speech to the convention of the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour. In that address Beck told delegates the NDP were winning the election.

“We have surged ahead in the final days of this campaign. We’re winning in places we haven’t won in 20 years. We’ve done this by bringing hope to communities where there has been little. By focusing on your priorities and by showing that we have a plan to fix what has been broken by 17 years of a government that is clearly focused on themselves…”, Beck said.

“Friends, because of you, we are on the cusp of history.  We’re just days away from it.”

As for the Saskatchewan United leader Jon Hromek, he has been holding town halls this week. On Tuesday night, Hromek was in Davidson, part of the Dakota-Arm River riding, for his latest event in support of candidate Darren Ebenal.

“The crowd last night at our Town Hall in Davidson was huge! Over 100 people came out. Saskatchewan people are looking for change. Sask United is delivering. Vote Sask United TODAY!” Hromek posted on social media.
