It isn’t unusual to see uniforms on the baseball diamond in the summer time, but Monday, the uniforms on the Lions Club ball diamond behind the North Battleford Civic Centre were those of firefighters not ball players. North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services responded to a call around 2:30 p.m. and wasted no time containing the reported fire in the dugout at the ball diamond. The bench, rear wall and roof sustained minor damage, but upon first inspection no renovations need to be made to the dugout.Photo by Trent Cey
