Members of the WPD Ambulance accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Sunday evening after being nominated by one of their employees. The WPD raised $1,200 towards ALS research, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. The North Battleford Fire Department, the RCMP and the Battlefords Union Hospital emergency room staff were amongst those challenged by the WPD. The ALS Association has received nearly $80 million in donations from July 29 to Aug. 25 compared to $2.5 million during the same period last year.Photo by Brett Smith
