Thursday afternoon saw a hub of activity in Central Park. The occasion was the HUB’s noon-hour community barbecue, designed to raise awareness of the HUB’s role in addressing community safety and wellness issues. The HUB has been in operation for nearly two years in North Battleford. Based on the model that was introduced in Prince Albert, the HUB brings together a number of agencies and government ministries who meet twice a week to discuss situations regarding clients facing elevated levels of risk.Photos by John Cairns
