May 12 to 16 2014 marks Police Appreciation Week in North Battleford. To commemorate that, Battlefords RCMP Detachment held a barbeque at the front of their detachment building Wednesday during the noon hour. Detachment commander Insp. John Sutherland and several other RCMP officers were on hand at the event, along with some of the vehicles they use on a regular basis on the streets. A long lineup of people were there to grab a burger and a pop, with proceeds going to the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club.Photo by John Cairns
