Assiniboia School Awards

Assiniboia Composite High School spent the waning days of the 2016-2017 school year by recognizing student achievements, staff contributions and administrator excellence. The ACHS student awards were handed out to deserving students in front of the entire student body and staff on June 19. A special award, the South Central District Service Award, went to Al Kessler for his passionate defense of students behind the scenes at the board table. Joanne Feeley and Al Wandler both received 10-year service awards for coaching. Not present for photos were award winners Emmy Kuntz, who received the Chantal Chabot Memorial Award for all around student in Grade 9, and Braeden Ducek, who won a drama award.

Due to the large number of awards presented, part of the award winners will be presented this week with the remainder presented in next week’s issue of The Assiniboia Times.
