Derrik Seemann Derrik Grant Seemann of Estevan passed away suddenly on August 21, 2011 at the age of 18 years as a result of a car accident near Benson, Saskatchewan. Derrik was born on November 15, 1992, in Gravelbourg, Sask., to Grant and Jeannette Seemann. Derrik graduated from Estevan Comprehensive High School on June 28, 2011, but had previously attended Ecole secondaire College Mathieu in Gravelbourg. He worked at Houston Pizza in Estevan. His family, friends and Estevan flood victims benefited from his love and talent of cooking. Derrik was a fan of Vinyl Cafe, CBC radio, video games and "Magic The Gathering" cards. Derrik's great sense of humour and outgoing personality attracted friends of all ages. He leaves to mourn and remember him, his parents, Grant and Jeannette (Lepage) Seemann of Estevan; his brothers, Marc (Cecile) and nephew Carson, Jonathan and Daniel as well as his grandparents Henri and Maria (Bouvier) Lepage. He also leaves to mourn him his aunts and uncles: Lori Seemann, Debra (Troy) Tait, Angie (Marlo) Krauss, Carole (Craig) Malin, Philippe (Brigitte) Lepage, Laurianne Lepage (Doug) Ridgway, Andrea (Naim) Osmani, Jean Marc (Dominique) Lepage, many cousins and special friends from Moose Jaw, Regina and Estevan. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Edward and Margaret (Diachyshyn) Seemann and his uncle Mark Seemann. Prayers were held on Thursday, August 25, 2011, at 8:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass on Friday, August 26, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., both at Our Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral, Gravelbourg, Sask. Celebrants were Father Joseph Strohhofer and Father Maurice Minne. The Cross bearer was Haleigh Tait and altar servers were Arianne Chevrier and Allan Punga. Readers were Michele Forest and Debra Tait. Offertory gifts were presented by Jennifer Krauss, Korah Krauss and Tony Gibson. The eulogy was shared by Maria Lepage. Solost Henri Lepage was accompanied by organist Leona Bourgeois. Active pallbearers were Marc Seemann, Jonathan Seemann, Daniel Seemann, Luc Blais, Brian Fortin and Jim Thompson. Ushers were Dallas Miller and Eric Malin. Interment took place at the Mazenod Catholic Cemetery. Memorial tributes in memory of Derrik to the Derrik Seeman Bursary, Box 778, Gravelbourg, SK, S0H 1X0 and Our Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral Restorations, Box 450, Gravelbourg, SK, S0H 1X0, were greatly appreciated.
