Elaine Grace Pettigrew Elaine Pettigrew, late of Regina, died December 2, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Elaine was born at Central Butte, Sask., the eldest daughter of the late Ernest and Beulah Cannon.

Elaine Grace Pettigrew Elaine Pettigrew, late of Regina, died December 2, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Elaine was born at Central Butte, Sask., the eldest daughter of the late Ernest and Beulah Cannon. She received her primary education at Central Butte, Moose Jaw, and Shaunavon, graduating from the Shaunavon High School in 1939. After attending Reliance Business College in Regina, Elaine was employed during World War II as Secretary to the War Services Board. Married to Edward Ernest Pettigrew in 1943, they moved to Estevan at the end of the war. Predeceased by her husband in 1966, she is survived by two sons, Douglas (Josephine), and Gary (Connie); a stepson Buddy (Peggy) Pettigrew; grandchildren, Sandra, Jeffrey, Andrea (Darcy), Erica; great grandchildren, Erin, James, Anthony and Colby; sister, Yvonne Jones; niece, Wendy (Ron) Carere, nephew, Bob (Kristy) Jones and their children. In 1987, Elaine retired after having served as Deputy Sheriff and Deputy Local Registrar of the Judicial Centre of Estevan for 20 years. She was a long time member of St. Paul's United Church and Beta Sigma Phi. Funeral Service was held at St. Paul's United Church, 1418 3rd Street, Estevan SK S4A 0S4, on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Brenna Nickel officiating. Interment in Souris Valley Cemetery, Estevan, Sask. Flowers gratefully declined, friends so wishing may make donations to the St. Paul's United Memorial Fund.
