Ernestine Marie Resler May 18, 1928 - January 1, 2012 Ernestine Resler, late of Estevan, Sask. and formerly of Bienfait, Sask. passed away in Estevan on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the age of 83 years. Ernestine will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gerald (Sue) Resler, Gordon (Bev) Resler, Suzanne (Ken) Bonokoski and Wendy (Randy) Dubuc; grandchildren, Loren (Harmony), Ron (Melissa), Alexis (Joel), Laura (Patrick), David (Jodi), Jamie (Roxanne), Kevin (Kyla), Curtis, Randy (Jamie), Brad, Chris and Dylan; great grandchildren, Randi, Carter, Haley, Taylor, Logan, Brooklyn and Claire; sister-in-law, Pearl Marcotte; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter; parents, David and Josephine Marcotte; grandson, Gord Resler; great grandson, Jace Bonokoski; sister, Augustine (Bob) Cossette; brothers, Patrick (Roseanna) Marcotte, Roch Marcotte, Herb (Hilda and Jean) Marcotte, Albert (Angeline) Marcotte, Nap (Fern) Marcotte and Leo (Edna) Marcotte. Prayers were held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, Bienfait, by Rev. Peter Nijssen. Interment followed in the Bienfait Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to Estevan Palliative Care, Box 5000-200, 1174 Nicholson Road, Estevan, Sask., S4A 2V6 or the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home, 1201 2nd Street, Estevan, Sask. S4A 0M1 in Ernestine's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Thank You Ernestine's family would like to thank all of those who extended acts of sympathy and kindness to us at this time. The gifts of food, flowers, cards, phone calls and visits were much appreciated. Thank you to Drs. Christie and Pehlivan for the care and concern you gave and also the staff of Unit A for giving the best of themselves to Ernestine and all of us during the time spent in hospital. Thank you to Corrine Sandstrom and Palliative care program. We are grateful to Richard and Ruth Marcotte for sharing their time with us whenever we needed them. Thanks to Father Peter, altar servers Hayden and Christopher, Stacy Grunert and St. Monica's choir for the funeral Mass and the Bienfait CWL for the wonderful lunch. Thanks to Dustin and all the staff at Hall Funeral Services for their kindness and compassion.
