Franklin Arthur Alvin Haberstock May 21, 1935 - October 21, 2011 Franklin was called to his heavenly home on Friday, October 21, 2011 at the age of 76, surrounded by his family. Franklin was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Dorathea; infant sister, Thelma; and sister, Meta Hautz. He is survived by his wife, Carol; three children, Christine (Paul) De Bono, Kimberly, and Neal (Tamara), and one step grandchild Chloe; brothers, Harvey (Lorraine) and Clifford (Carol); brother-in-law, Ewald Hautz; sisters-in-law, Anne (Ed) Adams, Olive (Garnet) Ferguson, and Kathy (Bill) Anthony, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Franklin was born May 21, 1935 at home on the family farm in the R.M. of Churchbridge, Sask. He was baptized June 10 at Grace Lutheran Church, Beresina. He moved to Estevan in 1957, and worked various jobs before becoming employed with the Estevan Rural School Division in maintenance and repair, a job he held for 41 years. In 1973 he married Carol Farr and together they raised three children. He was a valued member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, serving on numerous boards, but used his gifts most diligently in caring for the upkeep of the church building and property. It is fitting that his confirmation verse was Psalm 26:8: "I love the house where you live, oh Lord, the place where your glory dwells." A Funeral Service for Franklin was held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Estevan with Pastor Randy Kleemola officiating. Interment followed in Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. Those so wishing may make donations to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Building Fund in Franklin's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to all Funeral Services, Estevan.
