Genevieve Elizabeth Kapfhamer May 17, 1913 - October 24, 2011 Genevieve Kapfhamer passed away in Lampman, Sask. on Monday, October 24, 2011 at the age of 98 years. Genevieve's memory will be forever cherished by her children: Virginia Schopf, Jo Ann (Albert) Schopf, Justine (Henry) Walter, Dorothy Heidinger, Helen (Raymond) Heidinger, Walter (Joyce) Kapfhamer, Loretta (Alphonse) Heidinger, Colleen (Vern) Knutson and Leona Walters (Keith Foster); 29 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Margaret (Allan) Cranston, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; all of her siblings; sons-in-law, Gerry Heidinger, Lewis Schopf, Richard Heidinger and Harvey Walter; and great grandson Mark Fichter. Prayers were held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Doug Third officiating. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Estevan, by Rev. Joel Rama and Rev. David Banga. Interment took place in the Arcola Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to the Lampman Community Health Centre in Genevieve's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Thank You The family of Genevieve Kapfhamer wish to express their sincere thanks to family and friends for their donations of food, flowers, phone calls, visits, cards and masses in Mom's memory. Thank you to Doug Third for our family remembrances; also to Mom's oldest grandson Myles Schopf for the eulogy. Our sincere gratitude to Father Joel for your visits to Mom and for celebrating the funeral mass, Father Banga for concelebrating and Father Rushka for your presence at the mass; to Dustin Hall for singing "Hail Mary", the choir and CWL for the luncheon; the pallbearers, Mom's eight grandsons. A very special thanks to Dustin Hall and Shirley Petterson for your kindness, compassion and help in our time of need.
