Those so wishing may make donations to the Estevan Royal Purple, or the Canadian Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers. Arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Mom was born and raised in Mossbank, Sask. She met Dad in Mossbank in 1953 and was married in Gravelbourg, Sask. on September 16, 1954. The moved to Estevan in 1954 and in 1966 Mom, along with Dad, started their own business which continued on to form Industrial Communication Systems Ltd. Mom was so proud of the family business and she thoroughly enjoyed all the people that she met and dealt with throughout the years. As Dad would say, she ran a very good and tight ship. She was a proud member of the Order of The Royal Purple, and was also the Honoured Royal Lady for two terms. Mom loved to travel, and entertain her family and friends. She was blessed with eight grandchildren of which they were her greatest joy, always listening to them and offering her advice. In October of 2004, Mom had a stroke; with strong will and determination, she recovered and started walking again. In the summer of 2010, her kidneys failed but again her strong will and determination pulled her through. But God saw her body was getting tired and hurt her so; so He wrapped her in His loving arms and freed her from her pain. Our family and her friends will miss her sorely all the days of our lives, but we can be at peace knowing that she will be at our sides and in our hearts and in the memories that keep her spirit so much alive. Thank You The family would like to express our heart full thanks to all those that contributed in the last seven years in helping Mom stay in her home and be with her family and friends, especially the compassionate home-care workers, the Home Care RN Nurses (who went beyond the call of duty), doctors and her circle of friends that filled her day with happiness. Our hearfelt thanks to everyone for the food, flowers, calls, visits, messages of condolences, donations to charities in Mom's memory; also to our valued customers for their understanding while we were closed during this difficult time.
