John M. Carlson February 17, 1923 - June 17, 2011 Carlson - John M. passed away at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Estevan SK. on June 17, 2011. John was born on February 17, 2011 at the Carlson Family Homestead N.W. of Hawarden, SK. He was predeceased by his parents, Marriam and Martha; son-in-law, Leslie Ganje; six brothers; two sisters; mother-in-law and father-in-law Marie and Ernie Girodat. He was survived by Rita Carlson; children, Debra, Mona, Albert, Randy and Daniel; nine grandchildren, six great grand children; five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. John bought Grain at Macoun, SK. from 1969 until his retirement in 1988. He retired to Moose Jaw, Outlook and finally Midale, SK. A memorial and internment was held at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Hawarden, SK. on June 24, 2011.
