Joseph Fichter April 26, 1931 - January 18, 2012 Joseph Fichter, late of Estevan, passed away suddenly in Estevan on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Joe's memory will be forever cherished by his loving family: wife Genevieve Fichter; children, Jacqueline Fichter, Michelle (Troy) Adams, Kimberly Fichter (Gordon Smith), Darren (Lori) Fichter, Nadine (Chris) Bell and Jennifer (Duncan) McMillan; grandchildren, Justin (Callie) Fichter, Mackenzie and Mason Fichter, Destiny Adams, Fraser and Fiona McMillan; siblings, Jake (Loretta) Fichter, Bob Fichter, Rose Seale and Ray (Ute) Fichter, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Rochus and Thressa Fichter; sister, Katherine (John) Scraper; brother-in-law, John Seale; sister-in-law, Sharon Fichter; nephew, Tim Fichter; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rose and Charlie McGillicky. Prayers were held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Mr. Doug Third officiating. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Estevan, by Rev. Joel Rama. Inurnment followed in the Columbarium at the Estevan City Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home, 1201 2nd Street, Estevan, Sask. S4A 0M1, in Joe's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Thank You We, the Fichter families, would like to thank Dustin and the staff of Hall Funeral Services for their care of our family at this time. Thank you also to Doug Third for the prayer service, to Father Joel, the Wilhelms and all who participated in the funeral mass, including the Fire Fighters Honour Guard. We also thank the attendants with Estevan Emergency Medical Services, Police Service and Victim Services for all of their efforts. Thank you to the CWL for their service at the luncheon.
