Kipling & District Parks and Recreation has a variety of junior and adult tennis racquets for use during the summer months at the Tennis Courts in Bell Park.

聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Kipling & District Parks and Recreation has a variety of junior and adult tennis racquets for use during the summer months at the Tennis Courts in Bell Park. The racquets are available from the Kipling & District Swimming Pool through July and August for a deposit fee of $5.00 each. The deposit is returned to the user when the racquet is returned to the Kipling & District Swimming Pool. Kipling & District Parks and Recreation encourages residents and visitors to enjoy the Tennis Courts at their leisure. The courts also have Pickleball lines painted on them (yellow), for all Pickleball enthusiasts to enjoy.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Register now for our Mini Sport Camp, July 25, 26, 27! Our Mini Sport Camp includes Atomic Smashbal (volleyball adapted to ages 7-11, with a focus on learning to spike); Flag Football for ages 6-12; and Lacrosse for ages 6-12. There is a nominal cost for the Camp: $10/day for participants, or all 3 days for $25! Brochures were sent home from Kipling School, or pick one up at Plainsview Credit Union or the Rec Office. All sports will be instructed by certified instructors provided by SVA, Football Saskatchewan and Lacrosse Sask. Pre-registration is absolutely necessary, so get your forms into the Rec Office by July 19th! July 31 鈥 August 4 will be a Multicultural Week, with games and activities from around the world! July 31st聽will also feature child entertainers, Lulu and the Tomcat at Kipling Public Library at 1:00 p.m. August 8-25 will return to general programming for ages 5-12 years, with many exciting activities. Parents are reminded to fill out the registration and waiver forms, as well as to send a water bottle and hat with their child each day. Because our program also works in partnership with the Kipling Public Library, parents are reminded to ensure that their child has a library card to be able to take home books each Tuesday afternoon. The Children鈥檚 Summer Activities Program is supported by the Community Initiatives Fund, Canada Summer Jobs, Student Summer Works, Southeast 麻豆传媒ion Sport, Culture and Recreation District, Plainsview Credit Union, System III Supply Ltd, Gee Bee Construction, Heaton Ready-Mix, Mainline Insurance, Osman & Company Law Office and Trobert Law Firm.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Summer Slam Volleyball Skills Camp is quickly approaching - August 8-10, 2017. The camp is a developmental camp for boys and girls, ages 11-14 years; as well as a high level experience for males and females 15 years and up. Athletes will have the opportunity to develop and/or refine all the technical skills of the game, learn new fitness and nutrition tips and participate in game play and strategy. Athletes are primarily grouped according to age, with both groups receiving 5 skills sessions, followed by a session of 鈥渨rap-up鈥 play on the final day of the camp. Instructors again for 2017 are Braden McLean and Bryan Fraser, both playing professionally in Europe in their 2016/17 seasons. Brochures are available at the Rec Office. Summer Slam has been generously supported by Fast Trucking Service Ltd. and Barbour Excavating!

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Lane Swim times in July and August at the Kipling & District Swimming Pool are scheduled for 7:00-8:00 a.m. and 5:00-5:30 p.m. on weekdays (except Thursdays), as well as 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Public Swimming is scheduled 1:00-5:00 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Aquafit will run Tuesday through Friday each week from 5:30-6:30 p.m., as well as Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays at 12:00 noon. Mondays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 5:00-5:30 p.m. will be reserved for Speed Swimming.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There are still spots available for Red Cross Swimming Lessons in the following sessions: July 31-Aug. 11; Aug. 14-18 (2 lessons daily Monday-Thursday, one lesson on Friday). Please note that the one week session of swimming lessons is non-refundable, and near capacity. Parents are encouraged to call or stop by the Kipling & District Swimming Pool or the Rec Office to drop off their registration forms.
