Larry William Stovin Mr. Larry William Stovin of Carnduff passed away at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Estevan, Sask. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the age of 71.

Larry William Stovin Mr. Larry William Stovin of Carnduff passed away at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Estevan, Sask. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the age of 71. Larry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Arleen of Carnduff; two sons: Kevin (Gaylene) and children Ty, Tanner, Trey and Lakyn of Carnduff and Randy (Teresa) and children Ryan and Taryn of Estevan; one daughter: Teresa (Tyler) Porter and children Everet and Ella of Brandon, Man.; two brothers: Dennis (Marilyn) of Hanna, Alta. and Bill Stovin of Estevan; mother-in-law, Hazel Birch; sisters-in-law, Connie Rosowsky of Kamsack, Sask. and Carla (John) New of Midale, Sask.; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William "Bill" and Mildred (Huffman) Stovin; father-in-law, Lorne Birch; brother-in-law, Orest Rosowsky; grandparents, Jack and Mildred Huffman and Walter and Etta Stovin. Larry was born on April 15, 1940 in Moose Jaw, Sask. He worked in the southeast oil patch for almost 50 years. He enjoyed helping his friends in the area with farming. He served as a volunteer firefighter in Carnduff for 40 years. His zest for life, sense of humour, sharp wit and strong work ethic attracted many friends. Larry's greatest love was his family. He was an avid sports fan of hockey, baseball, curling and golf. The funeral service was held at the St. Andrew?s United Church, Carnduff on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Susan Reed officiating. Interment followed at the Carnduff Cemetery.
