Margaret Theresa Stead August 6, 1920 - February 7, 2012 Margaret (Hirsch) Stead passed away peacefully at the Estevan Regional Nursing Home, Estevan, Sask. on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the age of 91 years. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Harry Stead, in 2000. She is survived by her children: Betty (Claude) Matte, Jasper, Ont., Elaine (Ray) Bohn, Regina, Sask., Eileen (Ken) Barron, Brandon, Man., Allan (Colleen) Stead, Roche Percee, Sask., Anne (Udo Bittman, Edmonton, Alta. and Joe (Debbie) Stead, Regina Sask.; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Arletta Hampton, Grande Prairie, Alta, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Margaret was held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Rev. Peter Nijssen officiating. A luncheon followed at the Estevan Legion. Margaret was a proud member of the Legion Auxiliary for many years. Interment will take place in Swan River, Man. at a later date. Those so wishing may make donations to the Estevan Regional Nursing Home Auxiliary (for the palliative care room), 1921 Wellock Road, Estevan, SK, S4A 2B5 in Margaret's memory.
