Mathias (Matt) Leo Weinrauch September 12, 1931 - August 21, 2011 Matt Weinrauch, late of Estevan, Sask. passed away in Estevan on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the age of 79 years. Matt leaves to mourn his wife of 57 years, Ellen Weinrauch; children: Loretta (Bernie) Threinen, Gordon Weinrauch, Ronald (Janice) Weinrauch, Anthony Weinrauch and Jim (Evelyn) Sandquist; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; sisters: Katherine Wanner, Agnes Weinrauch and Theresa (Harley) Jahn; brothers: Conrad (Irene), Adam (Alberta), John (Loretta), Frank and Stanley (Jocelyn). Predeceased by his parents, Anton and Clementine; daughter, Barbara Ann; sisters, Elizabeth Styre, Cecilia Styre; brothers-in-law, Hilar Styre, Ralph Styre, Lawrence Wanner; and great grandson, Jesse Threinen. Prayers were held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Estevan, by Rev. Thomas Mutavanattu. Interment followed in Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. Those so wishing may make donations to the Estevan Elks Club or the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, Estevan, in Matt's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Thank You The Matt Weinrauch family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, kindness and support shown to us during this hour of bereavement. We especially thank the nurses who were a part of Matt's life over that last few years; Dr. Sheikh for all his care and concern; to his friends that took the time to share memories of him; to Doug Third for the wonderful job at prayers and Fr. Thomas for celebrating the funeral mass. Thanks to the pallbearers, ushers and Hall Funeral Services; to those that sent flowers, sent food and to Rocket Sales for providing the wonderful meal for the family; for the donations to his favourite charities. Matt's passing will leave a big hole in our hearts, gone but not forgotten.
