聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Elegance filled the room as the honoured graduates of 2017 paraded arm in arm with their proud parents through the beautifully decorated, candle-lit Kipling High School gymnasium on Saturday, June 10, 2017. The 21 celebrated graduates ceremoniously marched to the songs 鈥淒on't Blink鈥 by Kenny Chesney, 鈥淭ime鈥 by Dean Brody, 鈥淥ld School鈥 by Hedley, 鈥淧hotograph鈥 by Nickleback and 鈥淲here I Come From鈥 by Montgomery Gentry followed by the singing of O Canada, with piano accompaniment by Ms. Sherri Singer.聽
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Special greetings from the Government Officials including Member Of Parliament for the Souris-Moose Mountain Constituency, Dr. Robert Kitchen and our former MLA for the Moosomin Constituency, Mr. Don Toth were delivered to the Graduating Class of 2017.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Pastor Andrew Switzer delivered a meaningful Ministerial Message to the group of graduates, giving encouragement and wishing them well for their new endeavours.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Town Of Kipling Deputy Mayor, Pat Jackson, shared her speech with the graduating students ending with wise words of advice of being safe at their graduation celebration.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prairie Valley School Division Student Leadership Award was presented by Mrs. Terry Berglund to Rebbekah Bright.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Tara-Lee LaRose received the Achievement Award sponsored by Mr. Ben Grebinski, presented by Mr. Dale Reed, Superintendent of Education, School Operations.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Kate-Lynn Weisbrod shared a heartfelt and comedic Message From The Staff with the students and their guests. The students were presented with a special gift in the form of a take-out box (Happy Meal and Timbit boxes). The boxes were filled with quirky gifts including Tissues (for when they blow it), Glow in the dark band-aids (to remember that there will always be a solution to fix things) and a sentimental photograph.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淥ur High School teachers became more like friends and good influences to us rather than just someone drilling us with information and lectures. Your kind words and good advice created many bright futures for us,鈥 Sydney Toth and Cheyanne Doud proclaimed in their reply to the Staff.聽

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Following the deliverance of awards, scholarships and bursaries, Brynn Bourhis and Dylan DeDecker聽 informed the packed gymnasium of previously awarded scholarship recipients. Sydney Toth has been awarded a $500 Entrance Scholarship from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. Rebbekah Bright has been awarded a $500 Pipestone Athletics Scholarship. Tanaya McKay has been awarded a $1000 Entrance Scholarship from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. Madeline Steele has been awarded a $2000 Entrance Scholarship from the University of Regina. Emily Dubois has been awarded a $2000 Entrance Scholarship from the University of Victoria.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Tara-Lee LaRose has been awarded a $3000 Entrance Scholarship from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. She was also awarded a $10,000 Renewable Entrance Scholarship from the College of Agriculture and Bioresources. This is $2500 for each of the 4 years she maintains a 75% average at the University of Saskatchewan.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Principal, Mr. Larry Lesiuk, and Vice-Principal, Mr. Garth Shoemaker brought the award part of the ceremony to an end as they delivered diplomas to the graduates of 2017. The Valedictorian's for Graduation 2017, Tara-Lee LaRose and Quinn Wilton addressed the students and their guests with memories of their years together and the unforgettable moments in class. 鈥淚 know you will all move mountains and become the best at what you pursue, so with that being said, us, and Dr. Seuss will leave you with one more thing, when you ask will I succeed? Yes you will indeed, 90 and 3/4 percent guaranteed!鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Some of students will be starting their new adventures in new educational surroundings including the University of Victoria,University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina and Sask Polytech to name a few.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The audience of family and friends were treated to a video montage of moments past and present pictures of the Graduating students, once young now ready to take on the world.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Graduating Class of 2017 shared a final parade with their escort to the songs 鈥淕lory Days鈥 by Bruce Springsteen, 鈥淪omething To Be Proud Of鈥 by Montgomery Gentry, 鈥淚 Love This Life鈥 by Lo Cash, 鈥淕ood Riddance鈥 by Green Day and 鈥淒ays Go By鈥 by Keith Urban.
