Randi Louise Haukeness January 17, 1952 - January 24, 2012 Randi Haukeness passed away peacefully at the age of 60 surrounded by her loving family. Randi was born on January 17, 1952 in Estevan, Saskatchewan, the daughter of Elvin and Ethel Haukeness, and eldest daughter of six children. She was raised on her family farm until she completed high school at LCBI in Outlook, Saskatchewan. Randi later completed her studies for Dental Hygiene at the University of Manitoba. In 1988, her never-ending sense of adventure brought her and her three children to Kamloops where she started her career. Randi had an appreciation and a love of nature as most of her time was spent outdoors whether it was the prairies, the mountains or the ocean. She loved spending time kayaking, cycling, and hiking. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her adventurous spirit, her infectious smile and her warm and grateful heart. Randi is survived by her daughter, Tonia; and two sons, Shawn (Ronnie) and Ryan (Danae); and four grandchildren Brayden, Symmone, Taron and Winnie. She will be missed by her father, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. A Celebration of Life was held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Hills of Peace Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice or Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Kamloops Funeral Home, 250-554-2577.
