Yorktonites enjoyed an afternoon of theatre, hamburgers, and Viking battles at the 3rd annual Renaissance Fair on July 22 at Rodney Ridge Park. The Paper Bag Players put on the Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, an abridged retelling of famous fairy tales. Loki’s Brood were also on hand with authentic recreations of Viking weapons and garb, providing re-enactments of sword and spear combat. Kids got in on the fun by battling the Vikings with Nerf noodles.
