Robert Arthur Wharton May 26, 1963 - May 14, 2011 Robert Arthur Wharton was born on May 26, 1963 in Estevan, Sask., and passed away Saturday, May 14 at Hitchcock, Sask. at the age of 47 years. Robert is survived by his mother, Rose Stasiuk; his soul-mate Debbie Turnbull and her daughters, Ashley and Kaylee; his daughters, Jasmine Wharton and Jennaya Wharton of Calgary; sister, Linda (Ron) Antosko of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Duane (Tammy) Wharton of Regina, Sask.; nieces and nephews, Krista Fluornoy, Chase Antosko, Zachery Antosko, Matthew Antosko, Amber Wharton, Cheyenne Wharton, Aaron Wharton and Juanita Wharton, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Wharton; brother, Darrell Wharton (Brenda and Autumn), and grandparents, Harry and Mary Blackburn, and Robert and Lena Wharton. Robert and his family first lived at the airport south of Estevan, later moving to Hitchcock where he grew up. After his father passed away, Robert moved to the family home in which he was raised, where he resided until the time of his passing. Robert liked building things, and he was an excellent carpenter. He also liked working with metal. He followed in his Dad's footsteps, as did his brothers, and he joined the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Union Local 119 of Regina, and earned his journeyman status as a Mechanical Insulator. Robert took great pride in his work, and was a skilled craftsman. Robert was loved by many, and he will be missed. Thank You The Wharton family and Debbie Turnbull and daughters would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, cards, phone calls and food during this very difficult time. Special thanks to Dr. Christie for all she did for Rob, and to Doug Third for conducting the memorial service.
