Rose Hildahl April 25, 1925 - October 18, 2011 Rose Hildahl passed away in Estevan, Sask. on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the age of 86 years. Rose is survived by her sons: Terry (Sharon) McClelland, Estevan; Brock (MaryAnne) McClelland, Estevan; Randy (Heather) McClelland, Medicine Hat, Alta.; Clark (Jamie) McClelland, Estevan; Robin McClelland, Estevan; daughters: Debbie (Ed) Sinclair, Estevan; Melody (Les) Heinz, Estevan; grandchildren: Terry Jr., Troy, Harvey, Theresa, Rose, Chris, Kristol, Cole, Tammy, Clark, Landon, Logan, Jennifer, Scott, Dave, Lezlie, Justin, Brennan, Jamie and Josh; 19 great grandchildren; sister Adeline Yackel, Kerrobert, Sask. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Hildahl in 1983; 11 brothers and sisters; parents, William (1950) and Regina (1975) Rader. Rose was born on April 25, 1925 on the family farm in Leader, Saskatchewan to William and Regina Radar. Upon her leaving the family farm, she took up residence in Regina working at various jobs such as waitressing and hotel chambermaid. Shortly after the war in 1945 she met George McClelland who at that time was passing through Regina via the rail. They ended up getting married shortly thereafter and moved to North Portal where George worked for Soo Security and Rose worked at the local hotel. They started a family in 1946 with the birth of Terry followed by Brock (1949), Randy (1953), Clark (1955), Debbie (1957), Robin (1961), and Melody (1964). In 1967 Rose and George divorced and in 1968 Rose met Henry Hildahl who farmed 10 miles north of Estevan. On January 25, 1969 they were married and Rose and the five youngest children moved to the farm north of Estevan. Henry passed away in 1983 and Rose remained on the farm until 1985. She moved into Estevan while her son Robin maintained the farm until her passing. She will be forever missed by her family including 7 children, 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and 1 older sister Adeline Yackel (91 years old). A memorial service for Rose was held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Pastor Stewart Miller officiating. A private family interment followed in Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. Those so wishing may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 114 3rd Street NE, Weyburn, SK, S4H 0W2 in Rose's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
