Sharon Glenys Fichter June 18, 1938 - August 16, 2011 Sharon Fichter passed away in Estevan, Sask. on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the age of 73 years. Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Robert; children: Celeste (Jim) Van De Woestyne, Darcy (Patricia) Fichter, Blane (Kendra) Fichter, Myles (Glenda) Fichter, Theresa (Gerry) Penner; grandchildren: Justin and Cali Van De Woestyne, Byron and Becky Fichter, Cole, Jordan and Devin Fichter, Lorin, Morgan and Shayna Fichter; sister: Irene (Louis) Bourgeois; brother, Richard Mitchel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Rosemary Mitchel and brother, James (Jimmy) Mitchel. Prayers were held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2011 in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan with Mr. Doug Third officiating. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011 in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Estevan, by Rev. Peter Nijssen. Interment followed in Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. Those so wishing may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Sharon's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Thank You We, the Fichter families, would like to thank Dustin and the staff of Hall Funeral Services for their care of our family at this time. Thank you also to Doug Third and Leanna Gill for the prayer service, to Father Peter, the Wilhelms and all who participated in the funeral mass. We also thank the many nurses and doctors affiliated with Estevan Homecare, St. Joseph's Hospital, and Regina General Hospital, Regina Pasqua Hospital and the Regina Cancer Patient Lodge.
