Sylvia Maxine Nickel July 2, 1937 - May 1, 2011 Sylvia Nickel passed away in the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow, Sask. on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the age of 73 years. Sylvia will be lovingly remembered by her son, Wesley (Jean) Nickel, Oxbow; daughter, Wendy (Dennis) Bartolf, Oxbow; grandchildren, Jeff (Deidra) Nickel, Saskatoon, Sask., Angie (Ryan) Folkerts, Glen Ewen, Sask., Kristy (Christopher) Dietze, Oxbow, Jordana (Travis) Kane, Minot AFB, N.D. and Dustin Bartolf, Oxbow; great grandchildren, Olivia, Abigail, Claire (Nickel), Kirsten, Jasmine, Landon, Nolan (Folkerts), Reece (Kent), Presley, Tayson (Dietze) and Ripley (Kane); sister, Phyllis (Vern) McKee, Blind Bay, B.C.; brothers, Lawrence (Lorna) Rieder, Estevan, Sask. and Keith (Glenda) Rieder, Lethbridge, Alta.; sisters-in-law, Olympia (Ray) Stubbe, Abbotsford, B.C., Eleanora Schmidt, Drake, Sask. and Rene Nickel, Saskatoon, Sask., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bruno; parents, Philip and Eileen Rieder; grandson, Scott Bartolf; brothers-in-law, Pete Schmidt, Oskar Bartel, John Klein and Bill Nickel; sister-in-law, Freida Klein. In keeping with Sylvia's wishes, a family graveside service was held at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. Those so wishing may make donations to the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow, in Sylvia's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
